A mountain lily does not snap even in the storm

This is flutterchan's original character, who is also meant to embody personal aspects of herself. Nowadays I'm learning a lot about storytelling and narrative, so I wanted to take steps into making character illustrations that are more meaningful. I added the stuffed toy cat (which is something that the creator owns in real life) because this character adores stuffed animals. It is cradled gently in her arms as she smiles down, with her hands on top of its head as she soothingly pets it. I also wanted the lighting from above and the radiating graphics to resemble her kindred soul. Flutterchan's favourite flower are lilies and it reminded me of a quote from my favourite manga where one of the characters says this sentence to the main character as a way of comforting them. I thought it fit perfectly with creating an encouraging piece of artwork to spread positivity to those who've stayed strong even in life's cruelest moments.
